With such circumstances, I moved to that room from Hiroshima at the end of March. Arrangement of furniture is a specialized field to me, so I did various simulations, but after all, I arranged it while making various adjustments on site. While living alone, I plan to live with the intention of experimenting with life. Basically, don't buy plastic household goods. Invent something and examine what ordinary people tend to think they need. Some friends asked me "Are you a minimalist"? However, rather than being a minimalist, as a result of looking at the way I live, I am thinking that it would be nice to settle into a life that does not require things.
Do not use a vacuum cleaner, use a broom and dustpan, or other non-electric tools. Minimal fridge. At first, I thought about getting rid of the washing machine, but especially in winter, my skin is fragile and my hands get chapped. For bedding, I decided to try a sleeping bag. An experiment to reconsider the way of life that is taken for granted. The question is how to strike a balance between comfort, effort, and cost. Moreover, it is simple yet witty. For example, the back of the sliding door of the storage where the cloth was pasted was finished with veneer. Of course, even I did trivial things like flipping the door, putting veneer out and putting the door back in.
In addition, the four sliding doors that separate the Japanese-style room and the Western-style room from the LD are removed, and after careful reinforcement and curing, two doors are stacked on top of each other and laid on the floor. We made it into a platform like the moving tatami mats in Kiyonori Kikutake's "Sky House" and Kiyoshi Seike's "My House". There is nothing wrong with it, it's just a matter of laying the fittings on the table. Also, I have no choice but to thank the rookie, a young guy, for his good job, but originally the facility had an oversized foyer storage and a pendant light that lacked atmosphere, but he offered to use it in another empty room. Well, the OK came out smoothly. You may have thought that I was a very strange borrower, but this is also a sustainable action, right?
Apparently it had been refurbished and refurbished several times for rent, and the entrance to the washroom had an accordion panel door that didn't fit. This is not aesthetically pleasing, so I hung Indian cotton fabric to cover it. Since the outside of the sash facing the middle corridor is dark, we also hung the jute fabric here. On the other hand, the balcony faces the river, and there are no houses on the opposite bank, so I don't feel like anyone is watching me, so I don't have any curtains at the moment. In the summer, you may need a blind or a reed screen to protect against the strongest western sunlight. Two steel hangers for clotheslines were attached to the ceiling of the balcony, so I didn't buy a pole, but instead gave a cotton rope to hang the laundry.

That's why, after spending a week tuning the base of my new life to be beautiful and comfortable for me, I feel like it's finally taking shape. Every morning, I wake up to the sound of water from the river and the faint scent of the tide. In the evening, the sun sets over the mountains of the peninsula in the direction of Sakaide. Isn't it pretty good? While listening to my favorite music with coffee in one hand, when I opened the door of the kitchen sink, I found a stain that had changed color due to dripping water on the paper on which I was laying. When I looked closely at the sink, what I thought was dark dirt turned out to be rust. There must be a pinhole, and the water seems to be leaking from there. Now, a new problem arises. The rookie's worries hit the mark here.
