02: Live without a TV
Originally, I was fine without a TV, so I had no trouble or patience with this. Of course, if I had a TV at home, for example, if there was a sport or drama that people were talking about, I would turn it on. However, more than that, it is true that there were times when the sound and image were flowing in the room without being seen as BGM or something that somehow existed in the environment. On the other hand, if there is a program that you really want to watch, you can generally access it through such sites and services, as an environment has been developed that allows you to review it on the Internet. Therefore, this time I started living without a TV.
As a result, there is no problem so far. Even if I leave the news headlines alone, I can see them when I open something on my smartphone, and I listen to podcasts for global news every day. The advantage of being able to take the time to find out what you want to know is greater. There is a word called digital detox, but TV is a media that is one generation ahead of the Internet, but I am beginning to think that the detox effect is also quite high.
